About the winery – Gianni Gagliardo: Tradition and passion from Barolo
Behind Villa M Rosé Dolce is the family-owned winery Gianni Gagliardo, which has deep roots in the Italian wine world. The story began in the 1950s when Paolo Colla – a fourth-generation winegrower – moved to La Morra in the Barolo region. In the 1970s, Gianni Gagliardo entered the picture when he married Colla’s daughter. Originally from a teetotaling village, he was quickly drawn into the fascinating world of wine. Today, the winery is run by the next generation: sons Stefano, who manages the winemaking, and Alberto, who is responsible for the vineyards. Gagliardo owns 30 hectares of vineyards and produces around 300,000 bottles of wine annually, of which 70% are exported to over 25 countries.
The winery’s philosophy is captured in its iconic logo – the mask – symbolizing the moment we share a bottle of wine and let the façade fall. It’s not just about wine. It’s about people, presence, and genuine moments.
