Taittinger Les Folies de la Marquetterie
– A Champagne with soul, depth and history

Are you looking for an exclusive Champagne with character, finesse, and a history spanning several centuries? Then Taittinger Les Folies de la Marquetterie is the perfect choice. This special cuvée from the renowned Maison Taittinger in Reims is a tribute to tradition, elegance, and terroir.

A Terroir-Driven Champagne with depth and complexity
Les Folies de la Marquetterie is a unique Champagne composed of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay – sourced exclusively from Taittinger’s own vineyards surrounding the historic Château de la Marquetterie. Each vineyard parcel is vinified separately, and selected crus are matured in oak barrels to add extra structure and complexity. After five full years of bottle aging, this Champagne reveals a deep golden yellow hue with elegant, fine bubbles. The result is a wine of great depth, intensity, and harmony – ideal for gastronomic experiences.

Tasting Notes – when champagne becomes an experience
Bouquet: An intense and fruity nose with notes of ripe peach and apricot jam, elegantly rounded off with hints of vanilla and lightly toasted brioche.
Palate: Full-bodied and silky on the palate, dominated by flavors of peach and subtle woody notes in the long and expressive finish.
Serving Tips: Ideal for dishes with character – try it with roasted poultry, grilled fish in butter-based sauces, or even a rich mushroom risotto.

Maison Taittinger – Elegance since 1734
Taittinger is one of the few remaining Champagne houses that is still family-owned. Based in the heart of Reims – above the historic Gallo-Roman chalk cellars that are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the house is run with passion, precision, and a deep respect for Champagne tradition.
Château de la Marquetterie, the setting for “Les Folies,” boasts a fascinating history. Once home to writer Jacques Cazotte and a gathering place for Enlightenment thinkers and philosophers, it later served as a headquarters during the First World War. It was right here that the Taittinger family’s Champagne journey began.
