The 2016 vintage brought major challenges to the vineyards – from spring frost and heavy rain to a dry and hot late summer. But the winegrowers persevered, and their reward came in the form of small yields but exceptionally high-quality grapes, now expressed beautifully in this outstanding champagne.

Tasting Notes – A Sensory Experience
Nose: Beautiful complexity with floral notes of hawthorn, white flowers, and verbena, accompanied by fresh pear, kumquat, a hint of ginger, and subtle mint nuances.
Palate: Fresh and vibrant mouthfeel. A dynamic and blossoming start, where notes of honeysuckle blend with peach and citrus. The finish offers long-lasting aromas with a touch of bitter orange peel and elegant minerality.
This champagne strikes a fine balance between the chalky finesse of Côte des Blancs and the more structured depth of Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims – a truly harmonious symphony in the glass.

Maison Taittinger – A Legacy of Elegance and Expertise
The Taittinger Champagne House, located in Reims, is built on generations of passion for wine and craftsmanship. Founded in the early 20th century, it remains family-run by the Taittinger family. With 288 hectares of vineyards – the majority of which are classified as Grand and Premier Cru – and cellars deep underground in ancient Gallo-Roman chalk quarries (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Taittinger masterfully combines tradition, innovation, and terroir.
