Cervaro della Sala Umbria 2023
– An iconic Italian white wine from Marchesi Antinori

Are you looking for an exclusive and age-worthy Italian white wine? Then Cervaro della Sala Umbria 2023 is the perfect choice. This elegant white from the renowned winery Marchesi Antinori combines the best of both worlds: French-inspired finesse and deeply rooted Italian terroir. With its rich history and unique flavor profile, Cervaro della Sala is a wine that enchants in its youth and develops beautifully over time.

Perfectly balanced with chardonnay and grechetto
Cervaro della Sala 2023 is crafted from a carefully selected blend of Chardonnay and a smaller proportion of the local Grechetto grape, which together provide the wine with structure, depth, and finesse. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged in small French oak barrels – the so-called barriques – which add a creamy texture and delicate notes of vanilla and toasted oak.

Tasting Notes – Complex, elegant, and age-worthy
Right from the first scent, Cervaro della Sala 2023 opens with intense aromas of white peaches, citrus, pineapple, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it reveals a complex and silky texture with flavors of ripe fruit, brioche, and mineral undertones. The finish is long, fresh, and marked by a refined acidity that promises excellent aging potential.

Cervaro della Sala – A wine icon rooted in history
Behind this masterpiece stands the legendary Italian winery Marchesi Antinori, one of the world’s oldest wine families, with roots dating back to 1385. Castello della Sala, where Cervaro della Sala is produced, is idyllically located in the rolling hills of Umbria near Orvieto and has been a center of winemaking since the 14th century. The name “Cervaro” originates from the noble family Monaldeschi della Cervara, who once owned the estate. It was here that Antinori launched the first vintage of Cervaro della Sala in 1985 – a wine that has since become synonymous with quality and innovation in Italian white wine.
