Beni di Batasiolo Barolo Boscareto 2013
– A Majestic Barolo from the Heart of Piedmont
Are you in search of a truly great wine experience? Beni di Batasiolo Barolo Boscareto 2013 is a true masterpiece from one of the most renowned producers in Piedmont. This single vineyard Barolo from the prestigious Boscareto vineyard is living proof of why Barolo is known as the “King of Piedmont.” With its complex aromas, elegant structure, and long aging potential, this wine is crafted for the discerning wine lover who appreciates finesse, depth, and authenticity.
Barolo Boscareto 2013 is not just another wine – it is an experience. With its unique location within the Barolo zone, a meticulously controlled production process, and 24 months of aging in small French oak barrels, this wine is made to impress and captivate.
Tasting Notes – A Wine of Depth and Character
This 2013 vintage has a deep garnet-red color with beautiful brick hues on the rim – a sign of the wine’s maturity. On the nose, you are greeted by an elegant bouquet of ripe cherries, dried rose petals, licorice, balsamic notes, and a touch of spicy vanilla from the barrel aging.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, smooth, and well-balanced, with silky tannins and a long, persistent finish. Notes of dark berries, leather, tobacco, and truffle unfold in layers, giving a wine with great depth and aging potential. A perfect companion to beef, game dishes, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses.
Serving Tips:
Decant the wine for at least one hour before serving to allow its aromatic complexity to unfold. Serve at 18–20 °C (64–68 °F).
Vinification – Tradition Meets Precision
The grapes are hand-harvested from the Boscareto vineyard, one of the most sought-after plots in the entire Barolo area. The skins are gently macerated in the must for up to 15 days, ensuring intense color and rich extraction. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to preserve the grape’s characteristic fruit and spice.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in small oak barrels, which adds structure and complexity, followed by at least 12 months of bottle aging before release. The result is a wine with both power and finesse – and a clear expression of its terroir.
