Antinori Pian delle Vigne Rosso di Montalcino 2021
– Elegant, fresh, and full of Tuscan sunshine

Looking for an Italian red wine that balances freshness, finesse, and character while staying deeply rooted in Tuscan tradition? Antinori Pian delle Vigne Rosso di Montalcino 2021 is exactly that. This 100% Sangiovese wine is a beautiful example of how great wine doesn’t need decades to show its class. It delivers everything you love about Montalcino – right away!
Perfect for those who want an Italian red with both structure and juiciness, yet still enjoy it while young. Pian delle Vigne Rosso di Montalcino 2021 is an ideal match for everything from tomato-based pasta with fresh herbs to grilled meats and aged cheeses. Or simply a glass in good company.

The taste of Tuscany – Vintage 2021 at its best
2021 offered ideal growing conditions in Montalcino. A mild winter and warm, dry summer brought balance to the vines, while cooler nights and late summer rains allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and develop great aromatic complexity.

Tasting notes:
Pian delle Vigne Rosso di Montalcino 2021 opens with intense notes of cherry, raspberry, and a hint of violet. On the palate, the wine unfolds with juicy red berries, subtle spices, and an elegant minerality from the limestone-rich soils. The tannins are silky smooth, and the finish is long and harmonious. A wine with both charm and backbone – perfectly balanced and ready to drink now, but with the potential to evolve for several years.

From the heart of Montalcino – Antinori and Pian delle Vigne
The Pian delle Vigne estate lies just six kilometers southwest of the historic town of Montalcino, in a landscape of rolling hills and lush vineyards. Here, at around 130 meters above sea level, the Sangiovese grape is cultivated with love and respect for nature.
Marchesi Antinori – one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious wine families – acquired the estate in 1995. Since then, the family has produced both Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines that honor the region’s traditions while adding a personal, modern touch. The Rosso version is aged in large oak barrels, enhancing the grape’s freshness, elegance, and natural aromatic profile.
